GOV DICKSON NOW TO DECLARE SECOND TENURE BID ON SEPT. 8

In compliance with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC guidelines for the December 5th Bayelsa State Governorship election, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson is now to formally declare his intention to run for a second tenure in office on the 8th of September, 2015.A Government House statement also explains that, the INEC guidelines for the Bayelsa Governorship polls has set aside the 6th of September, 2015, as the date for political activities to commence.It says, the new date is also intended to give enough advanced notice to other State Governors and other high profiled members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP from different parts of the Country that have indicated their desire to attend the event in Yenagoa.The statement called on all PDP faithful and the teeming supporters of the Governor, across the State to take note of the date and participate fully.
