BAYELSA GUBER POLLS: PDP HOLDS WARD CONGRESSES,AS GOV DICKSON APPLAUD PEACEFUL CONDUCT OF DELEGATES

The Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson has applauded the peaceful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP ward congresses across the State.The Governor, who participated in the exercise held at the headquarters of ward II, constituency I of Sagbama Local Government Area in Angalabiri Town, expressed satisfaction with the level of understanding, which led to the emergence of the ward’s 3 delegates for the PDP governorship primary, from where the party’s flag bearer for the December 5 gubernatorial election will be formally nominated.He was full of gratitude to all the delegates to the congress, for their maturity and commitment, which has again portrayed the PDP, as the leading political party in the State.Governor Dickson, described the people of Ward (II) in constituency (I) of Sagbama LGA as true and loyal PDP members, whose support for the party has never being in doubt and enjoined them to bring their support to bear in the December 5 polls. In his words; “We appreciate your warm reception. I particularly commend your outstanding peaceful conduct and for the massive support which you have always demonstrated. I enjoin you to continue in this attitude even during the state governorship election and even when people of strange, riotous characters come to influence you, all you need do is to shun them as that is not in our character”.The Bayelsa State Governor used the occasion to restate his preparedness to embark on an issue based campaign with his team, stressing that, as a people he has come to appreciate for the various supportive roles they have continued to play in the Restoration administration, he will return to campaign in the area soon.

In his remarks, the chairman of the PDP Panel for the ward congresses from National Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Buraimoh Ademuyewa, also commended all the delegates to the congress for their maturity and level of discipline throughout the duration of the exercise.

The 3 delegates that emerged from the ward II, constituency I congress of Sagbama LGA include, Kemebiye Oweisana of Angalabiri, Dr. Peremoboere Ogolo of Toru-Orua and Ebikake Godday of Bolou-Orua community.
